A mix of Adams and Ranch. These are two varieties that have done better in colder, as cold as zone 3 conditions. Please refer to our elderberry variety sheet for additional varieties that thrive in chilly conditions.

Cold climate elderberry bundle

The cuttings were half the size of any other cuttings we have ordered from your business. There are 2 that we have had to treat with extra TLC trying to nurse them through to start to thrive. Unfortunately, if we have future needs, we will not buy a bundle again.

Cold Climate Elderberry Bundle

Totally impressed by Growing Farmers fast and courteous service, especially after my request to substitute a Zone 3 variety for a Zone 4 variety to grow in my "Really Cold Climate" in northern MN. Too soon to report on long-term survival, but they arrived in great shape, were planted immediately, and above-ground growth looks very healthy so far!

Planted the elderberries in the ground a couple days after getting them. The growth we have already seen is amazing! Cannot wait until we are getting berries!
