I Thought I Plant In The Spring?

You can. However, you have to care for the strawberries the entire first year by trimming runners and flowers, weeding, and keeping the animals away! The annual bed system allows you to plant as the rest of your garden is fading for the season and harvest berries before any of your neighbors!ā€Ø

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

When do I plant?

Far north growers typically plant starting the 1st of September, and our Texas and Florida growers should plant near the end of October.

How far apart do I space the plants?

We recommend 12-18ā€ apart. Typically, we plant three rows on a 30ā€ bed system.

Do I need any special equipment?

No. We recommend planting through ground cloth or mulching with weed-free straw to keep the berries clean and the weeds at bay. Other than that, grab a row cover here to protect your blossoms from the frost.

I have other questions. Can you help?
