Pocahontas - Fast-growing and high yielding, this elderberry varietal packs a punch! Flower cymes and berry heads are larger than others, up to 24” across. Shorter growing seasons may result in berries that don’t fully ripen, as blooms occur later than other varieties. Indeterminate

Pocahontas is a newer cultivar and highly desirable - we limit the quantity to try to allow more to try this exciting cultivar.

I am not sure

I planted pocahontas on one side of the planter and the other variety I ordered on the other side. I can't remember which is which but one variety is thriving and the other is showing no sign of life.

Pocahontas

We ordered and received the elderberry Pocahontas propagation “sticks” and received them quickly. We had to refrigerate them for a few days until we could get the site prepped. The sticks came well packaged and nice and moist. We got them into the ground about an 10-25 days ago and the Pocahontas elderberry are already showing nice signs of good viability and I feel sure will make beautiful specimens. Thanks so much!!!

I liked how they were packaged. I also like the helpful suggestions that came with my order. I had to keep them in my fridge for about a week and then put them in the ground. They seem to be doung well.

Most are leafing in

Of the 10 cuttings, 6 are leafing in and look like they may well make it. Three of those that are not, look like the upper cut line was too close to the branch line, but I am no expert. Since I actually had no NEED for 10 plants, six is just fine with me.
