Experience the joy of continuous berry production with the Albion Strawberry Plants, cultivated with organic methods at the Farm on Central. Ideal for those who wish to enjoy fresh strawberries throughout the summer and into fall, these day-neutral, everbearing plants are perfect for extended harvesting.

Albion strawberries produce large, deep red, conical berries known for their firm, sweet flesh. These berries are exceptional for fresh eating as well as for use in pies, preserves, or freezing, providing versatile culinary options. They thrive in warmer climates and are self-pollinating, making them an excellent choice for gardeners who appreciate convenience and productivity.

This variety is notably resistant to verticillium wilt, phytophthora crown rot, and some anthracnose crown rot, enhancing their sustainability and reducing the need for chemical interventions. Albion strawberries require a strong watering regime, particularly with nitrogen, to maintain their high yield. For optimal fruit size, it is recommended to space the plants wider than usual.

Key Features:

  • Extended Harvest: Enjoy a continual supply of strawberries all summer and into fall with these day-neutral, everbearing plants.

  • Large and Sweet Berries: The large, deep red berries are not only pleasing to the eye but also rate “very good for flavor” and are firm, making them perfect for various culinary uses.

  • Disease Resistance: With resistance to several common strawberry diseases, Albion plants are easier to maintain and less likely to require chemical treatments.

  • Optimal Watering Needs: These strawberries thrive with a good watering schedule, particularly one that is rich in nitrogen, to support their prolific output.

Grown at the Farm on Central: Nurtured with care, these plants are cultivated using organic methods at the Farm on Central. You can trust the quality and authenticity of every plant you receive.

Optimal Spacing for Growth: For the largest berries, plant your Albion Strawberry Plants with more space (16” apart) between each plant. This spacing allows for better air circulation, light penetration, and nutrient absorption, resulting in healthier plants and larger fruits.

Garden and Culinary Versatility: Whether enjoyed fresh, in your favorite desserts, or preserved for later use, Albion strawberries bring exceptional flavor and texture to your table.
