The vigorous canna variety thrives in warm climates, bringing a bold splash of color to flower beds, borders, and large containers. It has a long bloom season and high tolerance for heat and humidity, make it a low-maintenance choice for hot summers. Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

💐 Tropical Mix: Your order may contain a mix of three striking colors: yellow, bronze orange, and bronze scarlet! There is no guarantee that you will receive all three - but we do our best to ensure at least two colors with every order.

🌱 Growing Tips: Prefers rich, well-draining soil and regular watering to support healthy growth. Deadheading spent blooms encourages continuous flowering. In colder zones, rhizomes can be lifted and stored over winter for replanting in spring.

🍽 Culinary Use: Beyond its beauty, the canna lily is a valuable food cache. Its rhizomes are rich in starch and can be boiled, baked, or dried and ground into flour for baking. Young shoots and leaves are also edible when cooked. 

🪴Plant Details: Canna lilies ship as live plants in 3" pots, which are fast-growing and can usually reach their full height in one summer! The live plants establish faster than bulbs, giving you a headstart on the growing season. For best results, plant 3-5 ft apart and mulch heavily with compost or wood chips- if you want them to overwinter, mulch with 6-12" of straw. Otherwise, dig up and store tubers at 50 degrees with moderate humidity.

Live plants can be quite delicate. To ensure their safe arrival in optimal condition, we take several precautionary measures:

Our live plants are sold in 3-inch pots and can be shipped to all US states, with the exception of Alaska, Hawaii, California, Oregon, and Washington state. We utilize Priority Mail for shipping to ensure a speedy delivery and ship only on Mondays to ensure no plants languish in mailrooms over the weekend.
