Cultivation Tips
• Soil requirements: Plant in well-drained, fertile soil rich in organic matter. Incorporate compost before planting and avoid low areas where water may pool.
• Sunlight: Full sun (6–8+ hours daily) for best fruit production and sweetness.
• Planting depth: Set plants so the crown sits just above the soil surface—not buried and not exposed.
• Spacing: Space plants about 12 inches apart (up to 18 inches for improved airflow).
• Watering: Water thoroughly after planting and maintain consistent moisture, especially during flowering and fruiting. Avoid waterlogged soil. Mulching helps conserve moisture and suppress weeds.
• Harvesting: Pick berries when fully red and firm. Harvest regularly to encourage continued production.
• Landscape use: Excellent for edible landscapes, containers, raised beds, and ground cover thanks to its compact habit and ornamental appeal.
