Expression is an early-maturing, bolt-resistant yellow onion engineered for reliability in transition climates. This intermediate-day variety delivers medium-large, glossy golden bulbs with perfect uniformity and a clean, firm finish—ideal for fresh bunching, market sales, or medium-term storage. Each bundle contains approximately 75 healthy, premium, non-GMO plants grown with natural and regenerative practices.

Key Details at a Glance

  • Day length: Intermediate-Day (best in zones 5–8)
  • Days to maturity: 90–100 from transplant
  • Mature bulb size: 3–4 inches
  • Storage life: 4–6 months when cured
  • Bundle size: approximately 75 bare-root plants

Why Grow Expression?

  • Earliest yellow – Ready 1–2 weeks ahead of most onions.
  • Bolt-proof – Thrives in spring-planted, variable-weather regions.
  • Clean & uniform – Smooth skins, consistent shape—perfect for market display.
  • Versatile keeper – Good fresh eating or solid medium storage.

Growing Tips Direct-transplant as soon as soil can be worked in early spring (soil ≥40°F). Space 4–6″ apart in rows 12–18″ apart. Provide full sun, consistent moisture (1″ weekly), and occasional nitrogen boosts. Mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Harvest when 50–70% of tops yellow and fall over; cure in a dry, airy spot for 2–3 weeks.
