This carefully curated set of seven herbs—cilantro and dill as seeds, plus rosemary, sage, spearmint, thyme, and parsley as plants—brings fresh, farm-grown taste to every dish. These easy-to-grow herbs fill your garden and plate with bold aromas and versatile flavors, perfect for home cooks, chefs, and homesteaders. Keep reading for variety-specific details and growing tips to start your culinary adventure.

Our collection ships with cilantro and dill as premium seed packets and the remaining herbs in 3" pots, each with a strong root system for quick garden acclimation. Due to natural growth cycles, potted plants may vary in size, but we guarantee healthy, vigorous starters ready to thrive.

Each kit contains 6 or 12 plants and includes 2 seed packets (cilantro and dill). The plants are a mix of rosemary, sage, spearmint, thyme, and parsley. The Farmer’s Choice Kit doubles the plant quantity for added kitchen variety.

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) – Plant
Rosemary’s woody, pine-like flavor transforms roasted meats, potatoes, and strawberry-balsamic sauces. This perennial’s needle-like leaves add aromatic depth to soups and breads, making it a kitchen essential. Grow it in containers or beds for year-round harvests.

  • Growing Tips: Plant in full sun, in well-drained soil. Hardy in zones 7–10; protect indoors in colder climates. Water sparingly. Prune to shape.

Sage (Salvia officinalis) – Plant
Sage’s earthy, robust leaves shine in poultry, stuffings, and creamy sauces paired with strawberry desserts. Its velvety foliage adds savory richness to pastas and soups. This hardy perennial is a staple for bold, comforting flavors.

  • Growing Tips: Plant in full sun, in well-drained soil. Hardy in zones 4–8. Water moderately; avoid overwatering. Trim after flowering.

Spearmint (Mentha spicata) – Plant
Spearmint’s cool, refreshing leaves brighten teas, strawberry-mint cocktails, and fruit salads. Its sweet, minty flavor is perfect for desserts or infused waters. This vigorous perennial is easy to grow in containers for endless summer freshness.

  • Growing Tips: Plant in partial shade to full sun, in moist soil. Hardy in zones 4–9. Contain roots to control spread. Harvest often.

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) – Plant
Thyme’s warm, savory notes elevate roasted vegetables, meats, and strawberry-balsamic reductions. Its tiny leaves pack bold flavor in soups, stews, and marinades. This low-growing perennial is perfect for small spaces and frequent harvests.

  • Growing Tips: Plant in full sun, in well-drained soil. Hardy in zones 5–9. Water sparingly. Prune to prevent woodiness.

Parsley (Petroselinum crispum) – Plant
Parsley’s fresh, mildly bitter leaves enhance soups, salads, and strawberry garnishes. Whether flat-leaf or curly, this biennial adds a crisp, green note to sauces, pestos, and herb butters, making every dish pop.

  • Growing Tips: Plant in full sun to partial shade, in moist, rich soil. Hardy in zones 5–9. Water regularly. Harvest outer leaves.

Cilantro (Coriandrum sativum) – Seeds
Cilantro’s bright, citrusy leaves add a zesty kick to salsas, tacos, and strawberry-avocado salads. Its coriander seeds bring warm, spicy depth to curries and baked goods. Sow these seeds for a fast-growing annual that’s a must-have for fresh, vibrant dishes.

  • Growing Tips: Sow 1/4 inch deep in full sun to partial shade, in well-drained soil. Germinates in 7–14 days at 60–75°F. Thin to 6–8 inches apart. Succession sow every 2–3 weeks for continuous harvest.

Dill (Anethum graveolens) – Seeds
Dill’s feathery fronds deliver a tangy, slightly sweet flavor to dressings, grilled fish, and strawberry-cucumber salads. Its seeds are perfect for pickling or seasoning breads. Sow these seeds for an annual herb that elevates summer dishes with its delicate zest.

  • Growing Tips: Sow 1/4 inch deep in full sun, in fertile soil. Germinates in 10–14 days at 60–70°F. Space 12 inches apart. Stake tall stems in windy areas.
