(Patterson + Walla Walla + Redwing)

Grow the ultimate northern onion trio with this curated Long-Day Bundle — hand-selected for cooler climates, long summer days, and maximum flavor diversity. Each bundle includes approximately 25 plants each of Patterson (the world-class storage king), Walla Walla (the legendary raw-eating sweet), and Redwing (Michael’s 20-year favorite red keeper) — giving you approximately 75 premium, non-GMO plants total grown with natural and regenerative practices. Perfect for gardeners in zones 3–6 who want fresh, sweet, and long-keeping onions all season.

Bundle Includes

  • Patterson – Extra-large, firm yellow bulbs with 8–12 month storage; the ultimate keeper.
  • Walla Walla – Jumbo, ultra-sweet golden bulbs; eat raw like an apple (best fresh).
  • Redwing – Deep red, crisp, spicy-sweet bulbs with 6–8 month storage; Michael’s 20-year go-to.

Why Choose the Northern Bundle?

  • Complete flavor spectrum – Mild sweet, balanced, and pungent options in one order.
  • Season-long harvest – Early sweets (Walla Walla), mid-season reds, and late keepers (Patterson).
  • Proven performers – All three are commercial-grade, disease-resistant, and field-tested in the North.
  • Michael’s pick – Includes Redwing, grown by our founder for over 20 years.
  • Value & convenience – Three top varieties, one shipment, perfect spacing for a 10–15 ft row.

Growing Tips Direct-transplant as soon as soil can be worked in early spring (soil ≥40°F). Space 4–6″ apart in rows 12–18″ apart. Provide full sun, consistent moisture (1″ weekly), and occasional nitrogen boosts. Mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Harvest when 50–70% of tops yellow and fall over; cure in a dry, airy spot for 2–3 weeks.
