Curious about what's new in the strawberry world? This bundle brings together four of the most exciting recent variety releases in one package—GF Belle, Monarch, Cordial, and Surfline—giving you a chance to trial them side by side and see which ones perform best in your garden or growing operation.

Whether you're a home gardener who loves trying something new or a small-scale grower keeping an eye on strawberry research, this is a fun and practical way to sample some of the newest strawberry varieties.

SHIPPING INFO: Strawberry plugs ship in Fall 2026.

What's in the Bundle?

Each bundle contains equal quantities of all four varieties:

  • GF Belle — A 2024 private release from GoodFarms Genetics with attractive glossy berries and sweet classic flavor. Behaves as a continuous-fruiting variety in cool coastal California; standard short-day elsewhere.
  • Monarch — A 2023 UC Davis release and a landmark variety for organic and low-input growers, with the first-ever combined resistance to Fusarium wilt, Phytophthora crown rot, and Verticillium wilt in a short-day cultivar.
  • Cordial — A 2021 USDA Beltsville release bred specifically for high yields and very low rot without fumigation or fungicides. In USDA trials it produced the highest marketable yield of any cultivar tested.
  • Surfline — A 2023 UC Davis release that pairs Monarch's disease resistance package with notably richer aroma and flavor — a great choice for fresh eating and direct market sales.

How are they sold? New Release bundles are available in 12-packs and 48-packs, with equal quantities of each variety included. Plants will arrive as rooted plugs in soil. Please unpack as soon as you receive them, water well, and keep in the shade for the first couple of days before planting.

Planting Instructions:

  1. Choose a well-draining location with at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight.
  2. Prepare the soil by incorporating compost or organic matter to improve fertility. A soil test ahead of time is a good idea to identify any nutrient gaps.
  3. Plant at a depth where the crown sits just at or slightly above the soil surface — burying the crown leads to rot, and planting too shallow causes roots to dry out.
  4. Space plants 12–15 inches apart.
  5. Water well after planting and maintain consistent moisture throughout the growing period.

Full planting instructions will be included with your order.
