Cultivation Tips

  • Soil requirements: Loose, well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter. Avoid compacted or waterlogged soil to prevent misshapen tubers.
  • Sunlight: Full sun (6–8+ hours per day) for best yields.
  • Watering: Water consistently, especially during flowering and tuber formation. Uneven watering can lead to small or cracked potatoes.
  • Harvesting: For new potatoes, harvest once plants flower. For mature potatoes, wait until foliage dies back, then dig carefully to avoid damaging tubers.
