Create a vibrant strawberry garden with our Southern Bundle, designed for warm climates across Texas, Florida, and coastal California (USDA Zones 8–10). This Non-GMO bundle is grown using organic methods and includes 12 plugs, all heat-tolerant varieties.
Mystery Variety Mix: Since we're down to the very last of our strawberry plant inventory, we don't have the same count of each variety. We'll be randomly grabbing your plugs from what we have left of the following varieties: Chandler, Camerosa, Albion and we have just a very, very few Brilliance and Sensation.
These heat-tolerant, disease-resistant plants deliver high yields and exceptional flavor, ideal for fresh eating, jam, freezing and sharing!

-
Heat-Tolerant: Thrives in Zones 8–9, keep shaded in zone 10, ideal for warm southern summers.
-
Organic-Friendly: Disease-resistant varieties support organic growing with minimal inputs.
-
Versatile: Suited for home gardens, U-Pick, or fresh markets.
Planting & Spacing
-
When to Plant: Plant plugs in October-early November for optimal establishment in warm climates. Fall planting ensures strong spring and summer harvests.
-
Spacing: Plant 12-18 inches apart in rows 24 inchds apart to promote air circulation and prevent disease. Use raised beds with black plastic mulch to control weeds and keep berries clean.
Care Tips
-
Soil: Plant in well-drained, slightly acidic soil (pH 5.5–6.8). Add compost for better drainage in heavy soils.
-
Watering: Provide 1–1.5 inches of water weekly via drip irrigation to avoid fungal issues, especially in humid southern climates.
-
Fertilizer: Apply a balanced organic fertilizer (e.g., 10-10-10) at planting. For Albion, fertilize lightly every 4–6 weeks during its extended season.
-
Pest Control: Slugs will be your main issue, use Sluggo, a certified organic treatment when you see them
-
Heat Protection: Use shade cloth in summer (especially for Albion) to maintain cooler temps for optimal fruiting. Cover plants with frost cloth during rare freezes below 32°F.
